Volunteers
Volunteers form the backbone of our projects without whom we are unable to facilitate and co-ordinate initiatives for the local and wider community.
Project Nile is looking for dedicated volunteers to join the team. We are looking for individuals who can offer their time to assist in empowering young people and putting something back into the community.
As this role is a valuable and responsible role, volunteers will be called captains, with recognition that the Project Nile ship cannot sail smoothly without them. We are looking for a range of volunteers and will provide training and mentoring.
Not only will these skills benefit the wider community, they will also be of great benefit for personal development. Volunteers will be working on focused activities, which could include assisting in a scouts session or even making the sandwiches for a group of young people for their lunch.
Some of our objectives for the programme include:
- To develop community ambassadors and confident leaders
- To increase the self-esteem of ‘captains’
- To provide the tools to empower others
- To encourage giving back to the community
- To have fun
- To provide the opportunity to socialise with like-minded people
- To allow families to spend quality time together
- If you would like to be part of our team, please complete the following form and we will be in touch.
