Volunteers

Volunteers form the backbone of our projects without whom we are unable to facilitate and co-ordinate initiatives for the local and wider community.

Project Nile is looking for dedicated volunteers to join the team. We are looking for individuals who can offer their time to assist in empowering young people and putting something back into the community.

As this role is a valuable and responsible role, volunteers will be called captains, with recognition that the Project Nile ship cannot sail smoothly without them.  We are looking for a range of volunteers and will provide training and mentoring. 

Not only will these skills benefit the wider community, they will also be of great benefit for personal development.  Volunteers will be working on focused activities, which could include assisting in a scouts session or even making the sandwiches for a group of young people for their lunch.

Due to the nature of the work here at Project Nile you could be working with vulnerable adults or young people and we may apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS), this will show any convictions you may have past or present. This will not necessarily prevent you from volunteering here. Please let us know about any convictions you have in the box below.
