The Forgotten Sunnah

At Project Nile, we intend to revive this noble Sunnah by offering the local community an opportunity to partake in this productive wholesome sport. We aim for attendees to strengthen their connection to Allah and His Messenger (Peace be upon him) through the study and practice of archery.
In addition to being a noble Sunnah, archery provides the opportunity to improve hand-eye coordination, upper body strength and the development of self-confidence as the archer observes improvements during their practice.
We offer two mediums for attendees to begin their journey in pursuit of this noble Sunnah.
Courses
Our six week course provides participants with an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the practice of archery on a theoretical and practical level.
This is achieved through the studying and practice of shooting techniques through engaging games and competitions.
We have devised tailor made courses for adults and children and guarantee a fast paced, fun and engaging environment for all attendees.
Adults
The key objective of this course is to provide adults with an opportunity to practice the noble sunnah of archery. Through attendance of the course, attendees will learn about the significance of archery in Islam and have the opportunity to become competent in performing archery.
The course is designed to be fun and incorporates a host of games and competitions which encourage friendly rivalry.
Children
The key objective of this course is to introduce a different aspect of Islam to students and provide an alternative to other activities that they may be engaged in, which may not be as wholesome or productive. We believe this will increase love and understanding for the religion and broaden perspectives on how vast and complete Islam is.
The course places a strong focus on introducing the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon Him) to students from the perspective of sports and physical strength. At the start of each class, students are provided with small snippets from the Sunnah which is certain to leave an imprint on their hearts and ignite the passion in beginning the journey of self-understanding and knowing Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon Him).
Taster Session
A hugely popular course, the taster session delivers an exhilarating experience in an action-packed way. Attendees are introduced to the sport through games, competitions and prizes. Sessions are held throughout the year in the duration of school holidays. Upon completion of the taster session, certificates are presented to certify attendance and learning taking place in the noble sport of archery.
All courses are delivered by our team of GB Archery qualified instructors who have a warm and friendly personality which is guaranteed to make the learning experience for students unforgettable.
